Column Internals

Trays
Trays in an internal column, often called a tray column or plate column are horizontal plates stacked inside a column to separate components of a liquid mixture, most commonly in distillation. They enhance mass and heat transfer by forcing rising vapor to intimately contact descending liquid.Common types include sieve trays, bubble cap trays and valve trays, each different designs and efficiency characteristics.
Packing
Random packing: A bed of irregularly shaped pieces like rings, that provide a large surface area for liquid-vapor contact.
Structured packing: A more organized, grid-like material that offers higher efficiency and lower pressure drop than random packing.
Spares
The procurement of spares for e.g. cage floating valves belongs also to our service. Cage floating valves in an internal column combines a cage-guided control valve with a float-operated system for fluid control, often used in distillation or separation columns. The cage guides the valve plug, providing stability and control, while the float reacts to liquid level changes and opens or closes the valve.This arrangement allows for precise level control within the column.
